The popularity of Bongo’s Bingo shows has been growing at a rapid rate over the last couple of years, bringing a younger demographic to the bingo arena. The shows have always attracted Liverpool players, and thanks to the brand’s live-streamed shows during the lockdown, Bongo’s has gained an army of additional fans.
We recently reported that Bongo’s is taking its unique bingo experience to a number of outdoor venues across the UK during September and October, plus some Christmas and New Year 2020 shows. Due to the general public’s mad rush to buy tickets, both the Newcastle shows on 30th August and 12th September quickly sold out.
While you can no longer buy tickets for the upcoming event on Saturday, 12th September, the Bongo’s Bingo team has managed to squeeze in an extra tour date for this Friday.
On Friday, 4th September, the socially-distanced Virgin Money Unity Arena in Newcastle’s High Gosforth Park will welcome “Bongo’s Bingo Outdoors” from 6 PM. Staggered arrival times will help to ensure that guests are not exposed to large groups.
The first bingo game begins at 7.30 PM and players will take part in viewing areas which can accommodate a maximum of 5 people. Those who wish to attend can buy multiple tickets; however, the venue cannot guarantee that they can allocate viewing platforms next to each other.
In the event that it rains on the big night, all attendees will be offered a poncho on entry. After all, the show must go on!
Tickets are on sale through the Bongo’s Bingo website. A viewing area for five people costs £60 while there’s a £20 booking fee that goes directly to the venue.
Following the first Newcastle show last Sunday, which the brand’s co-founder, Jonny Bongo, described as “simply amazing”, the Bongo’s team are looking forward to laying on a third show at the brand-new Newcastle venue. He also described the attendees as “an absolutely class crowd” and says that “the energy from everyone was electric from start to finish”.
