We’ve previously mentioned that the online bingo and casino operator, Gamesys, have been having a mini-reshuffle with some of their sites.
Four Gamesys brands are particularly affected as the old sites are transferring to Dragonfish software, with new sites being set up in the old names. Players of those brands are being transferred to Jackpotjoy to keep them within Gamesys operations.
It sure sounds a little confusing. So, we’ve looked into things to provide you with clear guidance on what to expect if you’re affected.
On 29th June 2020, a final confirmation was sent via email to members of ChatMag Bingo, Woman Bingo, Woman’s Own Bingo, and Pick Me Up Bingo, advising that their player accounts would be moving over to Jackpotjoy the next day (30th June).
Jackpotjoy is also a Gamesys brand. In fact, it’s the operator’s flagship and most successful online bingo site which is home to thousands of players from across the UK.
The email gave members two options:
- Proceed to Jackpotjoy to continue playing with their original (i.e, ChatMag Bingo, Woman Bingo, Woman’s Own Bingo or Pick Me Up Bingo) username. Upon logging into Jackpotjoy, players would have the same access to their Joy Point balance, account balance, payment methods, and any offers and promotions which they were previously taking part in. All account settings such as session reminders, marketing preferences, and deposit limits would also be preserved.
- Open a new account at the newly created sites that now operate on the Dragonfish network. To make it more appealing players can claim the welcome offer when they re-register with the new look brands. If choosing this option, players would need to set up their preferred payment methods and responsible gaming tools.
As any old accounts were automatically transferred to Jackpotjoy, any affected players also received a follow-up email from Jackpotjoy on 30th June welcoming them to the community and giving them links to the support centre and FAQs in case of any queries. However, this probably wasn’t necessary as the brands all directed to the standard Jackpotjoy lobby once you were inside anyway.
