While it might not live up to the scale of Mecca Bingo’s forthcoming MeccaFest, there’s an exciting musical event that’s set to take place this spring at a popular Buzz Bingo club.
The Cockhedge branch of Buzz Bingo in Warrington is welcoming two popular acts from the ‘90s and ‘00s onto its stage on Friday, 24th April 2020.
Both 911 and S Club will be performing some of their best-known hits before the club’s members.
S Club (which was previously known as S Club 7) was formed in 1998 by the former manager of the Spice Girls, Simon Fuller, and it’s made up of members, Tina Barrett, Rachel Stevens, Paul Cattermole, Jo O’Meara, Hannah Spearritt, and Bradley McIntosh.
The group are expected to sing some firm fan favourites at the Warrington bingo hall such as Don’t Stop Movin’, Never Had a Dream Come True, Bring It All Back, and Have You Ever.
Also performing live are 90’s heartthrobs, 911, who notched up an impressive ten UK top 10 singles, including Bodyshakin’, The Journey, Party People…Friday Night, and Night to Remember. In 2019, the boys took part in a big reunion concert in Malaysia where the gig tickets sold out in record time.
The members of 911 include Lee Brennan, Simon “Spike” Dawbarn, and Jimmy Constable.
Tickets for the ultimate pop revival on 24th April 2020 are on sale for £15 (not including booking fee).
Buzz Bingo is the new name for Gala Bingo’s 119 land-based UK clubs. Gala Bingo undertook the rebranding in 2018 as part of its ongoing efforts to attract more Millennials. It also helped to separate the operator’s Gala Leisure business from the Gala Coral Group, although it continues to run its online bingo site under the Gala Bingo name with a secondary site operating as BuzzBingo.com.
