World-renowned chef and host of TV shows such as “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares”, Gordon Ramsay, is thought to be planning to launch his own online gambling site.
According to The Sun, Gordon has submitted a trademark application to the UK Intellectual Property Office, requesting to trademark the title, Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen. The application refers to a website which would offer “online gambling and gambling services” relating to “online slot machines and lottery services”.
If the 7 Michelin-starred chef goes ahead with his plans, we could potentially see a new online slot based on his popular cooking show.
Hell’s Kitchen has enjoyed success in both the UK and America, and it sees two teams of chefs competing for the role of head chef with contestants risking elimination each week. The success of the TV show has also led to several restaurants being launched under the same name, with venues in Las Vegas’ famous Caesars Palace, Lake Tahoe, and Dubai.
The move to launch an online casino seems in keeping with Gordon’s partnership with one of the world’s best-known land-based casinos, Caesars Palace. The restaurant is designed to make its guests feel as though they are on the Hell’s Kitchen studio set, and the dishes are served up by the Red and Blue kitchens.
Before or after their gastronomic feast, diners can head to the casino and enjoy a show or pay a visit to the casino floor where there are hundreds of slots and live dealer games taking place in its ancient Roman setting.
Although Gordon Ramsay would be the first famous chef to get involved with an online gambling business, he’s by no means the first celebrity to do so. Previously, we’ve seen top jockey, Frankie Dettori, collaborate with Playtech and Black Sabbath’s frontman, Ozzy Osbourne, launch his own slot with NetEnt.
