Lightning Strikes Twice for Mecca Bingo Player

As some lucky bingo players know, lightning can strike twice, and a great example of this is an anonymous man from Wales who has just won a whopping £50,000 jackpot, 30 years after winning £28,000 at the same bingo hall.

The good news comes courtesy of one of Mecca Bingo’s most popular clubs in North Wales. The Wrexham hotspot was recently hosting one of its biggest networked games when one of its players saw all of his numbers come up. After confirming the gentleman as the game’s sole winner, the caller announced that the player (who has chosen to remain anonymous) had won the £50,000 jackpot.

Ironically, the same gentleman has been attending the Wrexham club for the past few decades, and he had also scored an impressive £28,000 win at the same club back in the 1990s.

Describing his local Mecca Bingo hall as “a fantastic place”, the National Bingo Game winner remembers being “cheered and congratulated” by both the staff and his fellow players. He also says that he was initially “overwhelmed” by his jackpot win, and now plans to spend some of the well-deserved funds on a holiday to Blackpool and a new car.

The club’s general manager, Mike Etherington, says that he and his staff are “absolutely thrilled” for their latest big winner, and that “£50,000 is an incredible prize amount”.

Although there are winners across Mecca Bingo’s 77 land-based clubs on a regular basis, it’s not every day that one of them gets to take home £50,000. The popular bingo brand also has an online presence, and at its website, you’ll find even more lucky winners such as nanacurlytop who recently scored over £30,000 on the Gold Rush slot, and luckyballs1959x who started 2020 with a £25k progressive jackpot win in the Deal or No Deal Bingo room.
