As of Wednesday, 11th November 2020, Pragmatic Play’s live casino suite will be extended to include an exclusive new game called Mega Wheel.
Mega Wheel is Pragmatic’s first live casino game and has been developed to suit the increasingly popular live game show genre that has proved particularly successful for casino software developers like Evolution Gaming.
Michel Glansberg is the Head of Account Management at Pragmatic Play, and when he was recently interviewed about the company’s latest news, he confirmed that two new slots (Reel of the Dead and Gems Bonanza) are being prepared for release by the end of this month with Mega Wheel set to follow them in the second week of November.
Glansberg also confirmed that he’s been lucky enough to see and play Mega Wheel prior to its release and says that it adds “a new, more complex heart into the live casino space” for Pragmatic Play.
He goes on to say that specialised hosts have been trained in advance of the game’s launch and that they are “there to entertain” customers during every playing session.
Although Glansberg admits that “there are other wheel games out there” (and by this, we assume that he’s referring to Evolution Gaming’s Dream Catcher), he believes that Mega Wheel has the advantage, as with every spin and every round, one of the numbers on the wheel is accompanied by a multiplier that can award prizes of up to 500 times the player’s bet.
The RTP of Mega Wheel is reported to be 96.50% and the game’s betting range starts at just 1p.
Players have the option to place wagers on multiple numbers using nine different bet types, and all of the action is streamed live in 4k via several in-studio cameras which can zoom in and out on the prize wheel.
